"Best Practices" for Sharing in Compatikey
Since Compatikey is about relationships you are probably going to want to share what you learn about your relationships with others. That doubles the benefit. Compatikey makes it easy to share the wealth of relationship understanding, and just like anything else, there's a best way to go about it!
-
Asking permission to initiate a "Compatikey Share" is more than common courtesy, it's a smart move!
-
You always want to give someone a "heads up" with initiating a Compatikey share.
If they don't have Compatikey account already or you are not sure:
-
Initiating a share that includes their e-mail address will cause Compatikey to create one for them!
-
This means they will receive an automated e-mail from the Compatikey system announcing their account, which is free for 2 weeks!
-
The e-mail comes from Compatikey but it identifies you to them, by your name and e-mail address, as the person who initiated it.
-
If they are not expecting e-mail from Compatikey, they may never see it because their Spam and junk mail filters are likely to block it.
-
By asking permission and letting them know what you're going to do, they can take the proper steps necessary to receive that e-mail.
-
That e-mail will come from this address: webservice@Compatikey.com
-
The sample e-mail below even includes a link that quickly shows them how to prevent a block from happening if they don't already know how.

Hi , I would like to share some contacts with you from my Compatikey account. Let me know if you already have a subscription and what e-mail address you use.
If you don't have a subscription, I will give you a two week trial for free, so you can check out Compatikey and see what I want to show you.
If you want me to do that, you'll need to watch for an e-mail from the address: webservice@compatikey.com.
So it doesn't get caught in your junk mail or spam filter, be sure to add that address to your address book or safe sender list!

If they have a Compatikey account already.
-
You are asking permission to take up valuable space in their account.
-
If their sharing capacity is full, your share may be important enough for them to make some room for it. A little communication will make that happen!
